You can go by bus, but I think it would be best to go by train which takes 21h27 via Bucharest, see http://www.letsgoistanbul.com/tren.htm or DB website for schedule.

the chiper way is with a bus and after with train and then fly, I dont have Idea about ferry.

the quiker way is fly then bus [12 hours] then train [18 hours].
about swoman safer well ... I think at all of the option you will be safe, on train better to take an slipper single or with 2 bed, you have the option to lock the dor at the night.

As far as I know there is no regular ferry between Istanbul and Constanta at this time. A company named Med Lines attempted to start a line between these two cities (using a ferry called Arielle) a few years ago, but it didn't work.

This month (on November 6) another ship (Yuzhnaya Palmyra, owned by UKRFerry) was supposed to start sailing this route, but just as a test - regular services should start only in April 2008.

The cheapest way to go between Istanbul and Brasov is by bus, it should cost about 40 euros.
