Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Zaporizhzhya Visiting for a week or more in February 2008
Posted: Sat November 10, 2007 02:39 PM UTC
The same question as was posted and never answered before:

Any information or experience with hotels or B&B's in Zaporozhye would be greatly appreciated. Also any information on flying from Kiev would be appreciated - ie. how easy is the connection, who flies there (I think just the two main Ukrainian airlines, do they do baggage transfers, etc.

Any information appreciated.

Added note: I'm amazed at the prices--it's equivalent to $300-400 a night for a room, or so it seems to me... Are there not some nice homey small hotels?

Thanks
Steve

http://travel-2-ukraine.com/hotels/hotel.php?hotel=42 is 100USD per night, or so, and is the largest hotel in Zaporozhye (so it says).

There are one or two more here:

http://hotel-jazz.com/index_en.html

It may well be that there are very few hotels, especially smaller ones, in the city. But their prices are nowhere near the ones you seem to have seen (were you converting currencies, perhaps?).
