Martin, There are plenty of NCP car parks around Manchester city centre so long as you don't mind forking over the dough! I'll ask my colleagues and friends to see if there's anywhere you could get away with parking and not have to pay - some of the roads nearer the Salford side of the city centre might be an option.

I could meet him somewhere and then run him into the city centre.
I will be parking at Victoria Station.

Then come by train, Martin. There's a couple of hostels in the city centre if you want to overnight it.

At a push Martin, you could always come and stay at our house, I have already got Suet staying. She will arrive Friday afternoon and leave sometime Sunday.

I'm a little ill at the moment but i hope to be better by the weekend - but it is all touch wood at the moment. Good to see you got a few people interested. When and where does everyone meet and where (I believe some may have met before)
If i come i will also come to Victoria Station. I think i will wear my green hat then everyone can spot me easy enough
