Nearly everyone needs a visa for Sudan!

Sudanese embassies outside the Middle East are often reluctant to hand out visas...but I see you're in Beirut, so have a go at the embassy there. If not, the embassy in Cairo is known to be one of the easiest places to get a Sudanese visa. I had to get a letter of introduction from my own embassy (expensive), and with that, a visa was issued on the same day...apply in Europe and the same process can take months.

I've just heard that there's a new regulation whereby your sponsor/company in Sudan has to send a letter to the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, who then in turn will issue a letter for approval to the Sudanese Embassy in your country of departure. Then only you can apply for the visas from the embassy.

You'll have to check with the travel agent on that but I'm pretty sure that if you have work there, these regulations apply.
