| Bergamo | Public Transportation Bergamo- Como Posted: Thu November 8, 2007 08:38 AM UTC
Hi there,
I was wondering if there is a public transport link (bus, train) between Bergamo and Como. If so how long does it take to get there (from Bergamo to Como)and how much roughly it will cost. Thanx! |

The best way to travel from the airport to Como is to take the airport shuttle to Milan Centrale at a cost of 7.90euros one way.
http://www.autostradale.it/interna.aspx?gr=2&s From Milan Centrale take the train to Como San Giovanni which will take between 40 and 60 minutes and cost 6.70 euros one way. There are many trains each day and time tables can be found at www.trenitalia.it Regards, Billy

You could take the bus to Bergamo, and take a train from there. Bergamo - Como takes about 1h45 and there are several trains per hour, always with a change.

Dear KVD,
The bus into Bergamo is not necessary! You still have to change trains at Milan Centrale, so there would be 3 journeys involved as opposed to 2. The total journey would take longer and is more expensive. Regards, Billy

Public buses run from Bergamo to Como every day and take about two hours. Not sure about the fare, but it could be about 10 euro.
Hope the link works: http://www.trasporti.regione.lombardia.it/trl_index.htm

Dear Billy 16. According to the online trip planners I have access to it is possible to travel from Bergamo to Como without going in to Milan. And it takes between 1h30 adn 2h00. Most with a change in Monza. I think this remains an intesting option. Personally I'd prefer a 2h train ride over a 2h bus ride any time.

Actually buses run directly - no changes - from Bergamo to Monza eight times a day (change in Monza if you go by train) and takes about 2 hours (not 1.30 h). If you need help to understand the schedule let me know.
Ciao.
