Looking for a cheap flight out of cardiff to paris De Gaulle. Any info re: airlines, web sites etc would be greatly appreciated.

www.skyscanner.net is always a good starting point when searching for cheap flights.

I've just had a quick look and Flybe have direct flights between Cardiff and Paris CDG.

Flybe are the only budget carriers for this route, as far as I can see. www.whichbudget.com lists all budget carriers & their destinations within Europe; I find it very useful.

Thanx to both of you for your help. Flybe have flights from Cardiff to Paris but I can't book any flight yet for May 24/2008. I'm curious as to how soon they can give me a booking for May 2008. I'd like to get travel arrangements in place ASAP.

They won't upload the timetables for a while yet (don't know exactly when). It's the same for most airlines, I think; a summer and winter timetable. Summer 2007 was released at the end of last November, so keep your eye on the site over the next few weeks.

You'll usually find that there are various special offers to coincide with the launch of a new flight schedule.

There's another option - Easyjet fly Bristol to Paris. If you book early they tend to be cheaper than Flybe

In fact although I live in Cardiff I fly out of Bristol quite regularly.

You can get a through ticket from Cardiff Central rail station to Bristol International Airport (often at really good prices). You have to switch to a bus at Bristol but it's right outside the station, you don't even have to step off the pavement.
