Any age limit for visit visa to Bahrain

Hi friends.. Iam an Indian, holding residence permit for my wife & myself in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
MY parents ( father aged 71 & motner aged 61) wanted to visit us here. But I have been told that since my father's age has crossed 70, he wouldnt be issued visit visa to Bahrain. Is this true. Is there such a age limit for visit visa to Bahrain.
Can anyonce clarify this for me

There is none mentioned here http://www.bahrainexhibitions.com/travel_visa_requirements.asp and on the face of it I don't see why there would be; but the only way to know for sure will be for you or your parents to contact the Bahraini authorities, e.g. Consulate of Bahrain, Make Tower -F-No 5 Cuffe Parade, Mumbai 400 005, Tel: 215856-215857

I am a Britsh passport holer with Bahrain Residency. My mother aged 84 visited this year and had no problem with getting the BHD5 visa at the airport.
