Shanghai Shi Water Towns Jiangnan Shui Chun
Posted: Tue November 6, 2007 12:59 PM UTC
I'll be in Shanghai for a 4-5 days trip in end Nov and had planned to visit one of such towns. Would appreciate if anyone could give me advise on:

1) Is it even a good season to visit? Would it be too cold (considering that I'm from a tropical country & bringing my mum along) for boat rides?
2) Which town to visit? My first choice was Zhu Jia Jiao as it is the nearest. 2nd: Zhouzhuang (read some VTers comments that it wasn't good though.) 3rd: Xitang (got this from some of VTers) But I can only pick one... =(
3) Would appreciate if you could also state the modes of transportation getting to & fro the town recommended from Shanghai city.
Thanks!

1) Good season to visit as it's less crowded. If you dress appropriately I think you should be fine.
2) Definitely Xitang. Zhujiajiao isn't as nice, and transport time difference isn't all that much. Zhouzhuang is too touristy.
