I am planning on visiting Sorrento, Amalfi, and Capri in December after seeing Rome. In Capri, will we be able to see the blue grotto, other attractions and shop? Is it not worth see Capri during winter and should I wait to come to Capri another time?

Capri can be a bit disappointing in winter. We went in winter as everyone told us it was a must see. The seas were very rough and we couldn't visit the grotto, many places were closed for winter and it was very quiet. Also while we were wandering around there was a huge hailstorm :(
It is a beautiful place but from my experience it is one that I would save for the warmer months so that you take take in all that it has to offer.
I think that it may be different if you were staying for some time, but as a place to visit, summer would be better

Hi Capri has a warm micro climate and should be warmer than the mainland. We visited Capri in October 2005, the day we were there it rained but was warm, the ferry ride was smooth , but the Blue Grotto was closed due to swell which prevented the little row boats entering. Hope there is only a small sea swell.

The shops were open and busy, go up the mountain to Anna Capri.Have a look at the photos on my pages, the view is magnificenr even in the rain.
