Hello,
I am also looking for a hostel/cheap accomodation in Yangzhou in december. I couldnt find something good at hostelworld. Is it really that difficult? |

Do you mean Yangzhou (in Jiangsu province) or Yangshuo (in Guangxi province)?!

Plenty of choice if you're not picky. Wait till you get there.
I like Li River Retreat (http://www.li-river-retreat.com) but it's not really what I'd consider a "cheap" place.

I stayed at Backstreet Youth Hostel in Guilin and liked the facility and the staff. I paid 120 RMB for a double with it's own bathroom. Of course dorm rates are much cheaper. I know that Backstreet has a location (same name) in Yangshou. Try YHA China site www.yhachina.com.
