How much is "cheap" for you?

As I live in Chch I normally do not stay in hotels here... But there is a new one in the city centre where you pay NZ$ 69 for a single bed, and they charge $15 for cleaning, so 84 in total. You can choose if you want your room cleaned every day, so save money on this ;-)

The name is SO Hotel. The rooms seem to be rather small but they are new and rather luxurious. They advertise with the slogan: luxury accommodation - budget rates, or so.

The website:

I think you will not get a cheaper hotel room in the city centre, only in backpackers.

oh dear, this is a pity!

We will also go to the concert - but I know this will not help you.

Would you also stay at a backpackers? There is also one in Lyttelton (25 mins by bus from city centre).

Or try the motels in Riccarton Road, they are also still close to the city centre, you can even walk the distance.
