| Tel Aviv-Yafo | Taxi fare from airport? Posted: Sat November 3, 2007 02:30 PM UTC
Hi.
Five of us will be arriving in Tel Aviv at 9pm on Tuesday (06/11). Can anyone advise what the taxi fare from the airport to Hayarkon Street would be? As we will need two cars I am trying to work out whether it will be cheaper to book a transfer in a larger vehicle? Thanks in advance. |

Depending on the amount of luggage you're carrying you might want to consider the train.
There are trains direct from the airport to Tel Aviv Mercaz (Centre) station at 21:46, 22:01, 22:23, 22:40, 22:46, 23:01 and 23:23 http://www.israrail.org.il/english/index.html

Greetings,
The taxi transportation from the airport here is fairly well organized, with a choice between list price and fare meter, though you have to decide in advance. I can not see from your card where are you from (or any other details), so as a general recommendation - stick to the list price, which is around 100 Shekel (approx $25) or less. There are also larger cars available, so I suggest you to inquire at the taxi stand. Enjoy the stay here, Marius

There are bigger taxis you can take. They are minivans which should be big enough for 5 persons plus luggage.
For 5 people, the taxi would be probably be about the same price as taking a train+bus.

An important notice on the website of Ben Gurion Airport, Israel: It is recommended not to use random Taxi services.

You can't really control that. When you leave the terminal there is a line of taxis. You get the first taxi in the line. It could be one of the "official" taxis working with the airport, or it can be a taxi from a different station which took someone to the airport and is looking not to go back empty.
