I'll be flying into Aguascalientes airport and will need to get to Zacatecas city that same night. I'm presuming that I take a taxi from the airport to a bus station, and then a bus (like ETN) to Zacatecas. Anyone have experience with this -- or know where I can get the info --e.g., how far is the bus station from the airport? Name of station? Taxi faire? Trying to connect the dots ...

The airport is south of the city, take a taxi or bus to Central Camionera which is closer to center but along the same major highway. It will be easy to either ask in the taxi booth at the bus station or at information and they will direct you to the bus... buses cost about 5 pesos and taxi less than 100. etn has a website www.etn.com.mx and buses go frequently to Zacatecas - its 2 hrs away. Zacatecas Central Camionera is up above the city center, from there take any bus that says centro if that's where you're headed, or taxis are reasonable from the bus station.

It's very simple and the information you got previously is correct.
The Airport of Aguascalientes is close to the city limits in Aguascalientes, so at night I suggest taking a taxi.

The Central de Autobuses has *corridas* all day long to Zacatecas, it's a 2 or 2.30 hours trip by bus. 1 1/2 by car. You can try direct or de paso, de paso is a bus that comes from somewhere else and stops at the next terminal in another city. As a tip, sometimes I tell the driver to let know that we are in Zacatecas when I travel at night, you can easily fall asleep and miss the stop. Nothing to panic, tough.

In Zacatecas you will need to ride a taxi to your final destination, make sure you have the address.

However, you can take Omnibus, Futura, ETN, etc.. most of them are okay, depending which is leaving next when you show up at the station.
