I am wondering if any one can give me distance from baden airport to karlsruhe and what railway station station to use to get to stuttgart.

The main link for the airport is: http://www.badenairpark.de/sub_airport/index-en.html. You can catch a bus at the airport ( Line 140), which travels to the Karlsruhe train station. The trip apparently takes 40-45 minutes and will cost 9 euro, one way. That price includes 2 pieces of carry-on luggage. use Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (main station) and the trip to Stuttgart takes roughly 1 hour, there are frequent trains. Go into deutsche.bahn and click on international guests for info in English. Put Karlsruhe hbf for departure and Stuttgart hbf for destination. You can then put in your time of travel and print off a timetable.

Baden-Airport is closer to Baden-Baden than to Karlsruhe. As Baden-Baden has a train station and there is a bus connection from there to the Airport (bus #205), this would be my first choice.
Another possibility is the train station at Rastatt. Bus #234 gets you there from the airport. For more info see the websites of the airport: www.badenairpark.de and for train schedules www.bahn.de
