Hi everyone,
I have two questions:
1) will it be too cold to swim in the bay waters during the first week of november?
2) Has anyone heard any bad/good reviews about Annam Junk or TUN travel agency? I'm hoping to use them but I've noticed some of the information on their site is inconsistent at times.

Don't know the answer to question 1, but I would think it'd be too cold.
Question 2: feedback from a person who had been on the junk (not me) was:

"We spent two days on the Junk. We paid for superior accommodation - one up from basic. Got a room at the pointy end-well away from generators. The accommodation was clean but not luxurious.
The food was excellent so long as you like fish and seafood.
The staff were very friendly although very little English.
Overall we rated it well and will return."

I think it will not be too cold to swim in November if you belong to Frigit Zone
Honestly, I don't like Annam Junk because of 2 reason. First, It has a bad apperance regarless of what inside it. From the outside it looks dusty and uncomfortable. Second, Its name recalls the country's humiliating past. Annam {An: no rising; Nam: The South(vietnam)} was once the name that Chinese Dynasties used to refer to Vietnam with one wish that Vietnamese people would never have power to fight again them to regain the independence and would be china's colony forever. All Vietnamese people hate and want to clear that name(Annam) in their mind but the owners of Annam Junk!

I have some advice for your trip to Vietnam and can answer 2 questions above as below:
1, Yes, it is very cold and you can not to swim in that time ( 17- 23 D/C)
2, TUN travel ( with website: hotels-in-vietnam) is a travel agency in Hanoi
Their services are so so , they do service better in Hotel reservation, and not the same in tour according to me.
TUN organized a tour for us ( a couple - on May 25th ( we requested Red dragon Junk - they had confirmed that Junk was available and received our transfer but ...when we arriaved to Vietnam, they changed to Imperial Junk instead Red dragon without notice.
We are very dissatisfied with the way they treated.
therefore, I think you need to have guarantee before make the transfer.
