Hi there,
As far as I'm concern, you have 2 alternatives. 1) There is a direct bus from Hotel First world's bus terminal. Costs less than RM10. Buses end their journey in some hickass part of KL, but hey, you're still back in KL aren't you. This bus doesn't guarantee seats, pick up passengers along the way(these passengers are not those whom you'll want to get acquainted with), noisy sometimes. Drivers and staff speak no English. Nonetheless, it's still cheap and it gets you to KL. 2) Take a cable car from Genting Highlands to "I-forgot-what's-the-name-of-this-place". From there, 3 routes are available. 1 to Puduraya, and the other 2 to somehwere else which I forgot. Tickets guarentee you a nice, comfy, quiet seat. You can even put your baggae in the bus's boot. Cable car less than RM5 and bus less than RM10. Food prices in Genting are, like Genting itself, sky high. But since you're on holiday, spending a few extra bucks wouldn't feel a thing. Sorry to be a wet blanket but I only at PizzaHut, Mac's, cup noodles when I was there. Once I even brought fried rice up to genting from KL.
