| Warsaw | My Stag do in Warsaw Posted: Wed October 24, 2007 09:20 PM UTC
Hi,
Myself and eleven friends are coming to Warsaw for a weekend at the start of November for my stag do. We are staying in the Marriot hotel - i was wondering was this a good place to stay and is it central for the nightlife. Could anyone advise on any good pubs/bars/nightclubs? We generally like a laugh And are all aroung 30years old. Any good places to watch the english football? Also i have read about the ICE bar - would anyone recommend this as a place to visit. Hope someone can advise. Thanks in advance. |

Hi,
Marriott is elegant but a little bit in middle of nowhere. Just across Main Railroad Station and Palace of culture but I dont think there are many interesting places around. The street near by is called "Pigalle" because prostitutes used to stand there even before Marriott was built. So it s a kind of night life :) (but not in a very civilised way, the street is rather gloomy) So you d probably take a drive to any interesting places. If you want to be in the middle I d suggest other hotels.

I haven't been to the Ice Bar but from what I've heard and read it's worth a visit.
However, it's very much a novelty bar where they give you big jackets and you freeze your danglers off whilst soaking up the frosty atmosphere. I wouldn't expect the place to be heaving.
