Düsseldorf Travel Forum

Dear all , me and my friend will come to Dusseldorf for a couple of days arriving Thursday night after 1 am.
I am indecuded between two hotels, one is NH Düsseldorf City-Center(near Königsalle) amd the other is a Best Western Ambassador hotel (near the train station). We want to stay near pubs and nightlife, which one do you reccomend???(unfortunately all hotels in the old town close check in at about midninght so I can not choose them!).
Moreover we arrive late on Thursday at about 1,30 am, is there any nice late pubs or nice discos that will be open on Thursday until very late? if yes can you reccomend some??

Hi there,
in Düsseldorf the club and pub density is highest in the old town. NH Düsseldorf City Centre is slightly closer to that area. There also are some clubs right at Königsallee.
Most venues will close around 1 am on working days. Though bigger clubs are open until 5 or even 6 in the morning. Have a look at

First choice for sure. I was on vication there and it's great historical, culture place with lot of boutiques lol but anyway your choice in visiting this city isn't wrong at all. You will enjoy for sure. Have fun

NH Dusseldorf is your best bet but as you are likely to arrive at 1.30am by the time you check in and get out your choice will be limited. Ask the Night porter to recommend somewhere but don't be surprised if it needs a taxi and don't be surprised if the words pub and disco mean nothing to them. The great thing about the Altstadt is it is full of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes. Unfortunately there are people who want pubs and discos which are international words and attitudes. There are great music bars and great drinking bars in Dusseldorf. They are not pubs and discos! If you want some late night bars the area of the Turkish quarter down from the railway station is good. I think it's great but it is a different culture but I wonder if what I think is fine meets your definition of nice. Enjoy Dusseldorf for what it is and not what you would like to be transported from somewhere else.
