there will be four of us visiting Seville and all of us are adults in the 50's and are in decent budget. Can anyone out there suggest a very central, clean, Bed and Breakfast? We prefer to stay nearest the main cathedral. What are the precautions as these would be the first time my companions traveling to Spain.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Gracias a todos! |

Try Hostal Goya in the old section/neighborhood of Santa Cruz. It's a clean safe and reasonably priced pension on a quiet orange tree-lined street just minutes away on foot to the main attractions.

Whilst not immediately close to the cathedral, it is within a few minutes stroll through Barrio Santa Cruz which is my favourite area. Lots to choose in this area. Have a look for example at this: http://www.hotelpuertadesevilla.com
Not sure what you mean about precautions. Seville is a very popular torist location and usual precautions apply. I have been told that the gypy flower sellers outside the cathedral should be avoided.

on my page is the "hosteia del laurel" it was very nice and in a great location. not too expensive, about average.

We stayed at Hotel Las Casas de los Mercaderes recently and found the staff to be exceptionally helpful in English. Reasonably priced about 75 Euros. Short walk down a pedestrian street to the cathedral and great restaurants all in the historic area. Parking underground is available but rather expensive.
This is a great city!
