Doha Travel Forum

i'm an iranian . while my mother was going to U.S through Duha - London she lost all her documents including her green card ,passport , ticket .. and by a letter from iranian embassy in Doha she returned to Iran but she didn't get a police report for her green card loss . now what should she do to get it ? it's neccesarry for getting a visa to u.s .she can not come back to Doha ..any idea?SOS PLS

Where is your mother now ?
If she's in Tehran, she first needs to get a new Iranian passport. Then she should contact the American interests section at the Swiss embassy. They will advise her. She probably needs to pick up a replacement at the US embassy in Ankara, but the exact terms of that will be known at the section in Tehran.
Alternatively : Have you tried calling the airport in doha to see if the card was found ? Possibly they can mail it to you or the Qatari embassy in Tehran.

many tnx George .. my mother is in Mashad by now and it will take her some time to get a new passport .. we talked to Swiss embassy and as u said she should go to a U.S embassy in a third country but the problem is no police report ... we called iran embassy in doha but they refused to get that ... still we didn't try calling doha airport .....

The Iranian Embassy in Doha won't help? Nice people.

I'd suggest that she stay in Iran, because if she can't travel without losing all her documents she's headed for real trouble.
