Posted: Mon October 22, 2007 11:50 AM UTC
Salam Aleikum,

I am coming from France in Europe and soon going to get maried
in Islamabad.

I would like to go with my wife one week in a cute place after the wedding.
Of course I am looking for a nice and secure where there is not much people
if possible. Calm hotel with things to visit.

Period is mid november.

Can someone advise me a great place for this ?
Where should I go?

Thank you all for your help

Salam dear...
what i can recomend for you is BURBAN AREA after Muree and your stay should be PC Burban for calm, safe, clean accomodation and place....

you could make reservation and they also offer honey moon packages and i am hopfull in november they offer in less price as in summer season....

another advantage is to make this place as hub and you can use taxi to move to other places nearby like Nathia Gali, Murree, Patriata, Abotabad, Khanas Pur, Ayubia etc etc....wish your travel safe and enjoyable.....Tabrez

Hello,
You can go to Phuket, Thailand.
Its a beach resort, and I feel you couple would have a great time.
It has variety of hotels from USD 40 to USD 400 per night. Lots of places to eat.
There are aboout 7 beaches, and u can have a great time.

salam....you are welcome to ask any time more ....

Pearl continental hotel at Bhurban is basically a honey mooner hotel and place...it is very famous because you enjoy the facilities of 4/5 star hotel at hilly area with all local and all type of international food...

safe, beautiful, luxurious, not too far from islamabad, keep it as hub and travel to see other sorrounding locations in the days and return in the night.....

please note below is the webpage...
http://pc.hashoogroup.com.pk/PCHB/

you can visit the vt pages and people do comment about this hotel and place...can also check reviews from tripadvisor.com about this hotel and place...

the idea from Andep Khan is also workable but its totally different kind of place i been in august 2007 in bkk and phuket....we should not compare that place with place of pakistan because of difference of culture, heritage, priorities, limitations, opportunities etc etc....

You wouldn't believe that it's possible to build such a luxury hotel that really deserves a five-star rating in the middle of the mountains in such a remote area. The surroundings of Bhurban are absolutely breathtaking. The perfect location for spending your honeymoon. On top of that, they have excellent restaurants in the hotel where you get everything from local Pakistani food to International cuisine. (I even had Schnitzel there, which is a typically Austrian dish) My special recommendation: Try the apple juice at PC Bhurban. It's made from fresh apples of the region and you will never forget it's taste.

The PC Bhurban has all you need and much more. There's a pool, sauna, bowling alley, computer game room, lush green garden, wonderful mountain-view, excellent rooms and service, great food, pick-and-drop from Islamabad and the list goes on and on.

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME FURTHER GUIDLIONE TO SEE INTHAT AREA....
Murree and the Gallies:
It is a 11/2-hour drive to Murree from Islamabad via the 55 km. well carpeted, winding road. Murree, known as the Queen of the Hills is 2,413 meters high. Beyond Murree, the hill resorts of Ayubia, Khairagali, Bhurban, Patriata, Dongagali and Nathiagali also offer cool respite from the torrid heat of the plains in the summer months. Perhaps, the most sought after is the beautiful Nathiagali, 32 km from Murree and perched at a height of 2,501 meters. Ayubia, 29 km from Murree, is famous for its nature walks. Bhurban, which is 9 km from Murree, is known for its nine-hole golf course, panoramic view of the forested hills around and a 5-star hotel.

Patriata:
The Patriata resort, about 15-km south east of Murree, has been developed on a virgin site at a 2,223-m high ridge. It offers a breathtaking view of high forests and deep intersecting valleys with terraced slopes. The climate remains remarkably cool and pleasant in the summer. The resort is equipped with dual chairlift and cable car system from Gulehra Gali to Patriata Ridge, a total distance of 3.1 km. The Gondola cable cars, first of its kind in Pakistan, provide a panoramic view of the valley.

BELIEVE ME I AM NOT SALES OR MARKETING PERSON OF PC BHURBAN....ITS MY PERSONNEL RECOMENDATION...

i live in Lahore-Pakistan not in Islamabad but travelled lot of time in Islamabad and muree and bhurban for work, holidays, to meet my sister (she lived there)...

i hope it works.....wish you the best...Tabrez

islamabads a beautiful city no doubt.
went there in june and found this really special guesthouse in e7 which i've been told is the most expensive area in pakistan . it was a private guesthouse with no signs or adverts and was run by a lady and her female reps , amazing ,beautiful and comfortable place ,the hospitality was amazing, i thougth i had came here to visit my aunt or something lol .
i was very lucky to come across this guesthouse , took a cab from the airport and asked the driver to take me to any guesthouse in isb and he took me there , its called the staying lodge , if anyone visits isb i recommend that you check this guesthouse out . i have their card lying around somewhere , if anyone wants to know their contact number or address , email me or post here.
