I will be in Tallinn on Christmas Day. Any recommendations for a solo traveller on events in the city? Will it be a White Christmas? Please tell me it will be!!

I'm a little surprised that there are not 50 replies to your question, so I guess I'll give it a shot.
"Old Town(Vana Linn)", or more spacifically "Town Hall square(Raekoja Plats)" in old town, always has a huge christmas tree set up with a bunch of kiosks selling traditional crafts, clothing, and drinks(try "hoog vein",hot spiced wine, it's awesome on cold winter days). There is also a large stage set up with many different programs(mainly children oriented) going on at different times. Last year there was also an ice skating ring set up there and the place is usually quite busy with tourists and locals. Old town is a nice place to visit any time of the year and there are also many restaurants, bars, and shops there. If your looking for more adult oriented things to do most of the dance clubs are also withing walking distance of Old Town, but I'm not into it so I don't know if they have "Christmas" things going on or not. The last five christmases I've spent in Tallinn have all been white, but a couple of years only by a day or two and with barely 2 or 3 centimeters on the ground. But, it has already snowed(and melted) there this year, so your chances for a "white christmas" should be pretty good.
