Padova christmas holiday in venice, padova and verona
Posted: Sat October 20, 2007 11:07 AM UTC
Hello vters :)

We are planning to go to padova after our christmas in venice. We are thinking if we can already go to padova on the 26th and stay overnight then head to verona.

Are the churches, shops, museums and the university already open on the 26th or not yet? Is one day enough to see most of the tourist spots in padova?

If it is generally closed on the 26th, then perhaps we would stay one day more in venice and go to padova on the 27th and head to verona on the 28th.

Hoping for your enlightenment before we do our final plan and booking.

Thank you very much.

Hi there,
1 day for Padova is not enough at all, but if this is what u have - try to see the most of it. Its a really charming and interesting town. im not sure for opening days and time, so its better if u contact the tourist info office there. have a look at this web site- www.turismopadova.it
i reccomend u this hotel i stayd in - www.casadelpellegrino.com - has great location/just next to the Basilica del Santo/ and very reasonable prices.
"must see" sites are - Basilica di San Antonio /Basilica del Santo/- free entrance, Cappella degli Scrovegni with Giotto`s affreschi / www.capelladegliscrovegni.it/, Pallazo del Bo /the University - its the second oldest in Italy if im not wrong/..All the rest is a bonus for you as the town has lots to offer to the tourists..walk the city center and its piazza`s - Cavour, Delle Erbe, Duomo..
Enjoy Padova.
