Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Angeles City airport costs
Posted: Sat October 20, 2007 08:30 AM UTC
hi guys,

Just a question about having to pay additional costs at the airport. I have a return ticket to manila from SIngapore flying by tiger airways. I'm assuming i'll be landing in Clark airport. Would i have to pay an travel tax or service costs upon landing at Clark? And would i have to pay when leaving Clark to go back to Singapore? And are there any other possible fees or costs that i might have to pay?

ALso, another quick question, how much does a taxi ride costs approximately, just say from Clark to Metro Manila? Or just in general, if just say travelling 10 kilometres, how much would that cost?

Thanks guys, hope u can help, would be much appreciated.

When I fly into Manila I do not pay any additional travel tax at that time. When I fly home from Manila I do have a tax to pay, think it is 750 PHP. I would expect the same from Clark.

Clark is on the borderline with Angeles City and Dau. There is a bus station in Dau that has buses that go to Manila. Last couple of buses I took were the Rabbit (several years ago,) and the Victory Liner. Price is real cheap around 100 - 120 PHP.

The bus station is not that far from the main gate. Check with some of the other passengers and see how they make it to the main gate. You can take a motorcycle side car taxi to the bus station. (Only takes around 15 - 20 minutes to walk to the bus station anyway.)

Several posts on transportation from Angeles to Manila on this forum. There is other transportation available but I am more familiar with the bus rides.

I think taxi fares are between 1000 and 2000 PHP. The Margarita Station bar makes runs to Manila. Link:http://www.margarita-station.com/airport.html

When I use other transportation it has been the Swagman "Fly the Bus" that leaves from the hotels on the strip.

Good luck.

Hi Mikey, i guess this was related to your Subic trip right? Then, i have already answered some questions. Tiger does not have a direct flight to Manila, only Clark. Terminal fee is P550 or $11, cash. OFWs are exempted from this. Travel tax is subject for assessment at Phil Tourist Information desk.

Hope these help.
