I don't know, but I did notice that lots of local buses in Thessaloniki have the IKEA store as their destination, so you could just hop on one and find out!

Search for "IKEA Bus Terminal" on wikimapia.org and you'll see IKEA right next to the bus terminal. It's -relatively- close to the airport. I take it that you don't have your own car in Thessaloniki (then again, I may be wrong), so I suggest you go to oasth.gr and check bus lines number 2, 3, 8 (there may be more going there). It's in English too. Or simply go to Egnatia or Mitropoleos street and catch the first bus you'll see writing IKEA in front. It's piece of cake.

Dimitris,
if I understood well, it is on the way to the airport, somewhere close (nearby or accros?) "Carefour" (former "Continet")? We shell travel with our car so, if it's there, it's not problem for me to find it.

If you know where the old "Continent" was, then you know where IKEA is as well, because it is EXACTLY the same building. Since you will be driving your own car, be careful which road to the airport you'll take. There are two. The one that is very close to the sea, and the one that is slightly further away. If you take the one which is closer to the sea, then at some point you will see the huge IKEA building on your LEFT. If you find yourself on the other road, then I suggest you follow the "Mediterranean Cosmos" sign you will see, on your RIGHT. Med Cosmos (I don't know if you are familiar with it), is a really "cute" shopping centre. IKEA is less than a kilometer down the road.
Let me know if you need more info or maybe some clarification.

Last time I was in Thessaloniki 5 years ago and Cosmos wasn't there. But, I know that road close to seacoast. I spent a lot of time in "Bio Bio", "Bodrum" , "Ios" and other discotheques (ooooh, I am too old!) in that part of the city.
Thanks for the help Dimitris.

Man, I'm telling you, if you've been to all those places, then you definitely know that part of the city better than me... :-) I always was a boring guy who never went to this kind of places, or any other discos... :-) Hope you have a great time here when you come.

Memories, memories. I spent wonderful nights in Criny, Ladadhika, "Mylos"... all those discotheques, some places around Aghios Dimitrios Church, some restaurants in Panorama and fortress . Even, I was once in some striptees bar named "Caligula" not too far from "Spar" super market (on the way to the airport). It was a great time. Now, I want to show my wife how beautiful Thessaloniki is.
