www.italybus.it (all in Italian) does not report any direct buses from Bergamo to Verona.
The train solution will be relatively straightforward. You will have to change trains - probably in Brescia - but otherwise it will take less than 2 hours. Look at www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html - try it out (yes, it's in English) and come back with any questions... Bill
