| Tehran | A cold beer in Tehran? Posted: Tue October 16, 2007 05:11 PM UTC
Seriously.. Can I have a cold beer in the privacy in of my room after a days sightseeing in Tehran? There must be a way. I'm Christian, not muslim and totally respect Islam (I live in an Islamic country) - is there a way to grab a few coldies for a 4 day trip? I have had no trouble in Kish but it's a bit different there.

I’m not trying to be a smart ass! What I ‘m trying to tell you is that by drinking alcohol you will breaking the law, Of course many people drink in the privacy of their room in Iran, but it is still illegal and you can be punished if you get caught.

ACTUALLY - you CAN have a cold beer in your room in Iran.
Bring a box of non-alchoholic beers from whereever you live and enjoy. Or are you so desperate for alchohol that you can't even survive a couple of days without it ?

Hey George. No I'm not desperate for a drink, I am just exploring what choices I have as a foreign tourist spending my hard currency. Thanks for your answers. You've helped me immensely.
