Where in Bangalore can I get silk by the metre? A prticular shop, or area/market? Thanks.

Depends on how much you want to buy. MG Road and Commercial street are in the central location. This is the main market, but in case you can walk thru the small lanes and crowd (some ppl love to see that), you can get to closer to Railways station, in Chickpet area where they have a huge, main and wholesale market for silk. You can also watch some looms in that area!
