Hi Fellow VTers

I've read the reviews, got my lonely planet but I want to cover all the bases. We're staying at the Sheraton for 7 nights. I know this is a bit out of town (Ao Nang) but that's ok with us. So my questions are;
What else should I know about the Sheraton?
What should we do for 7 nights in Krabi?
Where should we visit?
What other advice do you think would be handy?

I appreciate any advice or thoughts and I look forward to reading them.

You are correct about the location of the Sheraton, I would suggest hiring a car or jeep for at least a couple of days so that you can explore the area.

For me the only disappointment in the area was Fossil Shell Beach - not worth the price charged for non-Thais.

We spent time in Ao Nang in 2005 and it was wonderful. We took a day trip kayaking in the Mangroves, swimming in a fresh water lake and took a boat to Poda island - snorkeling and saw lots of monkeys. There was lots of different day trips. Not sure if thats of any help.

I stayed at the Sheraton this year and it was nice, but a little isolated. The hotel has a shuttle bus so you can go to Ao Nang beach and take day trips to the islands from there. Don't forget to order Mojitos at the pool bar.
