Besides what Ex-Mainer said (which I think you should follow), I haven't been able to find out if Dengue is something you live with or if it goes away after you're cured. Dengue is transmitted by the bite of the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, according to Wikipedia. The reason why we've had some problems with it is because people "save" water in "containers" (like car tyres, paint buckets, etc) that don't have a lid on to protect against the mosquito dropping its eggs in there.
