| Pattaya | good place to say Posted: Fri October 12, 2007 02:54 PM UTC
Hi I'm going to Thailand next feb for a short and sweet break. Been to thailand quite a few times but never been to pattaya. Can anyone recommend a good hotel. Basically I'm after somewhere I don't have to walk to far to the nightlife. Not to worried about beach as will get beach fix on ko samet but a nice swimming pool would be good. I also need somewhere thats not noisy. Thinking around 2000 - 2500 baht a night.
Thanks |

You can check out the Areca Lodge. Located on Soi Diana, easy walk to malls, bars, restaurants, etc.
Areca info. http://www.hotelclub.net/hotel.reservations/Areca_ Map of Pattaya hotels. Areca is not far from Mike Mall. http://www.planetholiday.com/MapManagement/Map.asp http://maps-guide.org/thailand/pattaya/south-map.htm Basic hotel rooms with air, hot water, cable TV, safety box and probably a pool start around 900 - 1000 baht. Without a pool air conditioned rooms with private toilet/shower start around 400 baht. You will notice that hotels in Pattaya are quite a bit cheaper than Bangkok. When you use a baht bus taxi only pay 10 baht for the set route. Hal

the Boutique hotel, backside VC hotel and 5 minutes walk to Walking street is a good choice. For 2500 bahts you have a marvelous deluxe room with jacuzzi in Tim Boutique hotel, or actually in the new LK Renaissance for 1500 bahts you have a large room, in front of Areca hotel in soi diana Inn, near second road and the new Shopping center Avenue is next door.

I have several places listed on my Pattaya page http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/1e4db/161f12/3/
Of the hotels reviewed, I like the Sandy Spring best when I want to stay near Walking Street. Good rooms, Internet, nice pool and near everything.
