can one actually go into the shops and just look.. Or is it best to stay out and just walk the streets on rodeo dr. sorry i dont have 5,000. to spend on a purse or shoes. thanks

Yes, anyone can go into the shops just to look, while the shop is open to the public. Some of these shops offer private viewings for special customers, and during that time it is not open to the public. However, most of the shops on Rodeo Drive are open to the public during normal hours.

Sometimes they offer items at very reasonable prices during their sales, so look around, you might find a great bargin, I have at times.

It might be interesting to plan a stop for lunch at the Rodeo Cafe. The prices are reasonable, sit with a view of the street and you may even see someone interesting there or walking past.

Yes, go into the shops! I went into DeBeers diamond store once. They even let me try on a $50,000 ring! Rodeo is great to browse! You'll see lots of exotic sport cars driving around. It's unlike most areas of Los Angeles. Check out the side streets, you'll find some interesting little shops. I came accross a chocolate/wine store (Yum! the chocolate was like that of European chocolate!). Couldn't afford the wine, though.

how is parking there?

Rodeo Drive is a short street, about two or three blocks long. I don't remember having a problem parking, but you might have to park on a side street and walk.
