| New Orleans | Another where to stay Posted: Thu October 11, 2007 12:32 PM UTC
Hello
We are looking to go to New Orleans in March and are undecided between staying at The Ritz Carlton or Le Pavillon, has anyone stayed at these two hotels and which is the best. Have read very good and bad reports on both hotels? Also what will the weather be like in mid March. Thanks in advance |

That will be around Mardi Gras so it will be busy. The Windsor Court is also considered to be a top hotel

Regarding the weather -- bring layers to be on the safe side. I've been there several times in March, and the weather varied from visit to visit, from pleasantly warm to rainy to cold and windy.

I agree with Rixie---layers!! March can be absolutely gorgeous (it's azalea season down here) and can be nice and warm, but I have also experienced chilly and windy weather in that month.

Stay at Le Pavillion. It's beautiful and in a great location. The weather should be in the 70s at that time. Possibly rainy.
