Cell phone rental

I am travelling to Syria from the U.S. for 2 weeks and was wondering if anyone knows of a reasonable way to rent a cell phone either from the U.S. or in Syria for the time to keep in touch with family (mostly calls back to the U.S.)

hi

there is precharge cell line and it cost with some units about 4-8$ and 1 min to us about 0,6$ but for the mobile instrument it,s not know to rent it , it,s better bring with you your mobile and must work on gsm 900/1800

hi,
you dont need to rent a cell phone it so easy to buy a sim card it cost about 4-6 USD . if u need any help you can contact me i work in the tourism feild .
