Recently I traveled to Uruguay for the first time. I found it to be a very beautiful country, nice people, good steaks, and good wine. Now I want to come back in April 08 for a month and rent an apart hotel in Montevideo. I have done alot of searching on the internet but have had little luck in trying to find a place. It looks like the bigger hotels are charging $30 a night or so but I am told that you can find a nice apart hotel in a good area for $300 or so a month. Can anyone offer suggestions? Quite often the newspaper is a good source of information but unfortunately I cannot read Spanish.

i was wondering if you could give me the hotels and/or websites that you are using to find hotels for $30 a night in montevideo. am looking to go in 2 weeks and have not found anything that cheap yet. thank you for your help.
