Hi, I'm going to Chile in November and want to do 4 days of Easter Island, but the cheapest flight I can find is 1200 dollar r/t?? Is November high season or are there tour companies with all inclusive packages (flights too) or other ways to get there at a reasonable price?

Since there is no indication on your profile where you are from it is a bit difficult to provide information that might assist you in your home country. LAN is the only airline that provides service to Easter Island, and it is a rather long flight. Depending on what airline you are arriving on you might be able to purchase the Air Pass. You must fly into Chile on LAN or a One World alliance member in order to purchase the pass. In addition you would have to purchase at least three travel segments. LAN will not quote the air pass price on line for Easter Island so you will have to find the phone number for them in your country of residence or closest country to check on prices. As for tours etc here is a link that might help

You should use LAN pass, available from some travel agents or directly from LAN. It is old information that you would need to fly by LAN or One world to Chile to be entitled to buy LAN pass. The LAN pass is now available but a bit more expensive if you arrive by other airlines. I flew Lufthansa and had no problem buying LAN pass directly from LAN (first contact by fax, then by email).

Don't book with visitchile.com. We did. We booked the Lago Genral Carrera tour which was supposed to integrate a flight from Chile Chico to Balmaceda as part of the return trip. This flight is also part of the promition of the lodge as can be seen in their promotional videos. However, after arrival at the lodge, we were confronted with the fact that this flight is no longer operated and we got a car ride.

Furthermore, a strongly recommended option to fly t Laguna San Rafael was no longer available, either. Both flihgts were the main reasons for us to book the program.

visitchile.com personnel was not to be reached during the program, and afterweards they didn't do anything to settle the problems either.

We are outraged!
