im visiting eygpt next year doing a cruise and staying at luxor the nile palace for a week half board i have read some of the comments sounds really interesting my question is about getting visas how and were do i get them

On the entry to the country. It costs about 15 euros.

Or you could pay in LE, $ or Sterling. Depends on the most convenient currency for you. You haven't stated on your profile where you live :)

The right price for the visa is 15$. That would be around 11 Euro's and 10 GBP.
Beware!!!! If you are in a packaged trip they will try to sell you the visa for a lot more! On our first trip to Egypt we paid 25$. Now we know better. You can buy it at any bankdesk at the airport just before passport control. The best place also to have some money changed into Egyptian pounds. If you are with more than one; have one of you go to get the visa's while the other one takes place in the picketline before passport control. Very easy and no time lost.
