Well it is difficult to be with girl in hotel you had better tell her to find a private apartment in Agadir that I believe it is so easy for citizens to find a good apartment and for cheap price

Greetings. Far be it for me to judge another person's life, but it may be that the local people of Agadir don't like their daughters sleeping with travellers. Hence, the ban on local women in hotels.
There is an ethical standard of travelling which is: respect local laws, customs, traditions, ecspecially regarding women.
Don't take advantage of the local Arab Muslim women unless you want their brothers, uncles, fathers killing you OR HER to protect their honor.
it would behoove you to perhaps reconsider.

hi there, when i met my now husband i also couldnt stay in a hotel with him so it was better for us to rent an appartment. now 12 years on,we have just bought our own and are in the middle of furnishing it.hopefully it will be done for next summer, and so if you are still looking to rent then, contact me.also to say there are some small minded people who think bad of everything.just take no notice and go with your heart as i did and have never looked back. debbie x

Re: good four or three star hotel in Agadir Posted: Wed November 21, 2007 04:08 PM UTC
Greetings.
My response was only for the original post asking for a hotel for his Agadir girlfriend so they can apparently have premarital sex.
I have not checked on this thread for some time, however the reality is overall, the Moroccan people who practice Islam have a moral standard regarding premarital sexual relations, ie. boyfriend and girlfriend, which most Americans and Europeans do NOT share. In general, sex before marriage has no significance in either America or Europe. Not legally, not morally. This is not true of Morocco.
If the standard of a host country is higher than that of guest/visitor, than it cannot readily be expected that the host 'lowers' his standard. Ecspecially regarding sex outside of marriage with the host's daughters, sisters, mothers: the local Agadir women.
Its not 'small minded'. Its honorable, dignified, respectful.
Incidently, Europe is trying to force Muslims who actually live there to accept European standards regarding acceptance of sex before marriage, eventhough world health organizations combatting AIDS and STDs have all concurred that premarital sex and extramarital sex are highly destructive to the health and wellbeing of societies simply from a medical standpoint.
What of Agadir maintaining a high standard of dignity & honor for one's own local daughters, sisters, mothers?
Anyways, I suspect the matter is already done and I made my point, so farewell.

Well this is not a place for arguments but in regard to the comment that the accommodation was for that then yes youre right but please that the Islamic morals and standards are not shared by those in the west - sorry but you are dreaming - you can stick up for the ideals that you are trying to impose in writing but in reality Ive seen as bad or worse in countries like Morocco for lack of standards as in premarital sex and straight out adultery and cheating and dishonest relationships and the number of prostitutes in Morocco both now and through history -
dont take my word for it as an insult but check the history books of what was acceptable and required in say Moroccan society - increased numbers of prostitutes brought in by the Sultan to cater for the increased number of military and they lived in the prostitute quarter in Marrakech - the living area designated by the rulers at the time - and not the only time - ive been many places around Morocco and been totally aware of prostitutes being there -
I could say that I think that is disgusting - and you are saying I apparently as a westerner that could not be the case as I apparently dont have those sort of morals.
Many Muslims might not understand or have knowledge of Christianity - only that all westerns are christians or all lumped together as infidels if they are not Muslims - which is not the case at all. Christians follow Christ and what the principles of God set out in the Old and New Testaments make clearly His principles re the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and not to commit fornication which sex is only called fornication
when it is outside of marriage.
'Born again Christians' who believe in the importance of following the scriptures and the Holy Spirit number only about 7% in the world today, there are many who are nominal christians - go to church is what they do to be christians which might be said for many muslims who do Ramadan and the rest of the year they fight, smoke, drink alcohol, have sex with prostitutes, their girlfriends and
their wives.
You can go on about Muslims who dont drink alcohol - but study history but all through history in Morocco there were different groups and tribes overpowering the other to impose their opinions - the Almohads who came in and killed whoever wasnt living according to the exact strictness that they believed - killed for drinking alcohol and yet in the Old Testament - which even the Koran says Muslims should be referring to - says not to murder!God is meant to be the judge but certain Muslim groups decide who they will kill but then say they are doing it for God but then go and say that noone can speak for God.
Christ certainly came to preach forgiveness and to be free of all these things that create ugly blockages in us like murder, forgiveness, slander and jealousy and envy and so on. He said he also came to set us free from imposing laws that were like bondages and set people up on pedestals thinking they were better than others because they followed laws, washing their bodies, but were rotten and dirty in their hearts. The Old and New Testaments talk about the benefit of drinking alcohol but not to go and get drunk and debauchery - 2 different ways of approach.
All this stuff is the world over - and as groups or labels Muslims nor Christians nor the west or arabic are innocent of whatever criticisms you are trying to make.
