Pula Travel Forum

Does anybody know the fastest and cheapest way to get into Pula itself from the airport, more particularly the Punta Verudela Resort? Is there a shuttle bus or some kind of public transport? Also, do the majority of people accept euros or is it worth getting Croatian currency! I go next week (Oct 2008).

There is a bus service into Pula (can't find a timetable, but there will most likely be a bus waiting when you arrive, such services tend to link in with arrivals) and taxis, of course. You should agree the price of the latter before setting off.

It is always worth using local currency, imo. Using euros opens you to all sorts of potential troubles/scams re exchange rates.

you should get Croatian currency, which is kuna. They don`t accept euro at stores,
bars, markets..
Maybe in hotels or taxies, but I wouldn`t count on that.

Get kuna from the many ATMs.

There is a bus timetable but i have never seen a bus in the many times i have flown in and out of Pula. Taxi should not be more than 15GBP to Verudela.

Check out http://www.pulainfo.hr/en/zracna.asp. The price (as of Oct 07) is 25 kune (2.35 GBP) one way from airport to Pula central bus station.
