Travelling to Daytona Beach from Australia, can anyone give me info regarding the Turkey Run held in November's thanksgiving long weekend every year.
Is it worth seeing? prices to get in the venue?

Where is there good accomodation near the International speedway? and does the NASCAR racing operate during the month of November?

Is it warm enough to swim at the beach?
How far away is the beach from the speedway?

Nascar has 2 races during the year at Daytona - February & July, so there won't be any Nascar events during Turkey Run. In fact, Turkey run is held at the speedway, so it would be near impossible to have an actual race event during the event.

The speedway is home to the "Daytona 500 Experience" attraction (an 'official' Nascar attraction), so you'd be able to take in some Nascar-related stuff while there.

Daytona isn't very spread out, so the speedway isn't far from the airport or the beach, so you should be in good shape.
