I haven't found the Dutch equivalent, but the main ingredient in Neosporin (note spelling) is bacitracin - an antibiotic that Wikipedia says was named for a girl named Tracy from whom the original drug (produced by a bacteria) was cultured - read the Wikipedia article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacitracin
Anyway, the three active ingredients in Neosporin are bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B. I would take these three names to a pharmacist in the Netherlands and ask him/her what over the counter medications contain them...I have to think that the pharmacist would recognize one or more of these names... Hi,
I do not think there is an exact Dutch equivalent. Otosporin and Panotile both contain Neomycin and Polymixin. Bacicoline B contains Bacitracin. I guess you need them for an ear-infection but I am not sure they are available over the counter, you could try. Depending on the severity of the infection you could get an alternative or should see a doctor for prescription drugs. Good luck and get better soon!

hi there! Your question can best be answered by a local pharmacist. This is not a drugstore (Dutch: Drogist) but a pharmacist (Dutch: Apotheek). An Apotheek has specialised, medically trained staff, unlike the over-the-counter drug stores like Kruidvat, Etos or DA Drogist.
You could ask your question on their website: http://www.apotheek.nl/index.asp?mID=4560&jumpId=1 (if you do, click Verzend to send). Or ask via the website of a local Maastricht Apotheek: http://www.apotheek-martens.nl/Page/sp1709/Index.html Or look up a local Apotheek. Here are addresses in Maastricht: Martens Apotheek koningin emmaplein 19 6211NG maastricht Amby ambyerstraat-noord 17 6225EA maastricht Malberg Apotheek Malbergplein 5-a 6218BA maastricht America voltastraat 36 6224EM maastricht Caberg Apotheek clavecymbelstraat 37 6217CR maastricht Nazareth Apotheek kemenadeplein 2-4 6222VE maastricht Wyck Apotheek wycker brugstraat 10 6221EC maastricht AVM Apothekers Voorlichtingscentrum Maastricht p debyelaan 25 6229HX maastricht Centrum Apotheek Schoepp grote gracht 24 6211SW maastricht Geusgens Apotheek de beente 22 6229AV maastricht

Nestosyl is good for a lot of small wounds.
If you really need anything for light burn wounds, aks for "brandzalf" at the counter. PJ
