In the city centre there isn't a lot of Indian Restaurants, there is a few but you will find more the further out of the city centre in the predominantly Asian areas.

You will find loads around the Balti Triangle in Sparkhill (about 10 mins from the City Centre) which has about 50 restaurants all within a few roads with Al Frash on the Ladypool Road supposedly one of the best. I reckon you should try round there.

I have been to a few on all different sides of Brum and there's two that stand out for me - Khanum on Bristol Road in Selly Oak and Jeera on the Chester Road in Castle Bromwich.

If you need anymore help give us a shout and I'll try to give you a hand.

Cheers.

Yes see Kayleigh's answer - Al Frash is brilliant. Recently refurbished and a new exciting menu.
This is a Balti restaurant so a little different to the "normal" indian restaurants.
There used to be a lot of restaurants along Bristol Street just off the Ringway but it is worth going a little further to the Balti Triangle simply for the huge choice.
As well as Al Frash here, Punjab Paradise, Imrans and Shebab are all very good.
Look-up Birmingham Restaurants and there are lots of review sites to study.
