| Bahrain | Travelling alone to Bahrain as a female Posted: Mon October 1, 2007 11:51 AM UTC
Hi just wondered if anyone had any advice about a single female travelling alone to bahrain from UK. Will be for four days where I am meeting a male friend (also british but who works in Saudi Arabia),but was told by the embassy not to say this?? I will be staying for four days for a short holiday and I am concerned about going through immigration alone.
Has anyone ever been on there own as a female?? If so, How did you find it? |

Bahrain is an open place and nice , the airport is nice and you will get 3 month visa on arrival for BD 5 , less than STG 10 .
If you are coming between 12 to 17 of October , you friend should book a hotel from now , since the Eid holiday will start in that time. Have a safe flights.

Hi
I don't think you should worry abt entering bahrain. Females can travel freely in and out of the island. You don't need to give the customes officer any details and i don't think they will ask. If they do you can just tell them ur a tourist or meeting some friends. I can be ur friend haha :-) Happy travels and hope you enjoy ur short stay. you chose the right time as the weather should be cooler. Regards, Wafa

Thanks very much guys, I was just unsure as I have read mostly excellent reviews but was just worried about interrogation by anyone as I am going to be alone.
Hopefully I will have many good reviews to pass on to others, Thanks!!
