Galway accomadations

There are so many places to chose from and it's so hard to decide which is the best. We would like the experience of a good bed and breakfast not too far from town. If you have any suggestions would appreciate the info. We are going to be there in early Nov.

I have always enjoyed staying at ST. Martin's B&B. It used to be a hidden treasure but they now have a website, http://www.stmartins.ie/, so it won't be a hidden treasure much longer. It is very well located to City centre, about a five minute walk or a ten minute stroll. Mary makes a delicious Irish breakfast with some very tasty Brown Bread. Her scones are quite delicious, as well. You definitely will not push away from Mary's breakfast table hungry. Parking is the only issue, as there is none onsite. However, you can get street parking and pay a few Euros to get a sticker to put in your window to park overnight on the street. There is also a parking garage not far from the B&B.Rooms are simple and small, but you can't pick a better location in Galway, as it is right on the river.

Galway Thatch roof cottage, horses out back, 15 min walk from downtown Galway.

We just got back from our stay in Galway. If you're staying a week or more I'd like to recomend the cottage we stayed at. Sleeps 5,fire place, horse pasture out back, landcaped garden in front, gated drive, close to the city, but country feel. Short walk to downtown, but on the busline as well. The one time that we took a cab from downtown it cost us 7.60 euro. Oh, full kitchen and laundry, but you'd have to cook your own breakfast.
E-mail if you want the contact info.

I would like to know more about the thatched roof cottage at the edge of Galway on the busline. Please tell me more! We have 5 people exactly so it might be perfect. Thanks

My wife booked the cottage through a website called "Imagine Ireland". You'll find this cottage as well as many others at their site, but I believe this is the only "THATCH" listed in Galway City.
