Hello!

I am planning my trip to Krabi from 17thOct to 22nd Oct.
How is the weather currently? I am just afraid to experience rainy days for my entire trip..has anyone experienced the weather in Krabi during Oct?

I am planning to stay in Buri Tara Resort near to Ao Nang.. Any comment on this resort?
Also, i am planning to rent a jeep to drive around... maybe to krabi town.. is it safe and easy for someone who hasn't been to krabi before?
How much would the rental cost?

I have been to Phi Phi Island before when i was in Phuket..and tried elephant riding..
IS there any islands/ things i have to see and do for my 6 days there?
Thanks to advise how i can reach these places as well...and pricing too!

Lastly, for the transfer from airport, is it easy to get a taxi in airport? and what is the rate i would expect to pay?
Buri Tara quote me 300bhat per person per trip for the transfer.. i do not know if that is reasonable..

i've just returned from 3 days trip to krabi.
1st day no rain. 2nd & 3rd day intermittent shower no lightning though.

cab fromtown to beach 500baht. we also rented a van for 6pax with driver whole day for 4000baht. driven all the way to thai meung beach resort between phuket & khao lak.(2 hrs drive)

rented whole day single engine speed boat for whole day islands hopping for 12000baht...went which ever island we please...including chicken island, phi phi lei, phi phi don....

shuttle bus to town around 20baht

we stayed at nakamanda resort & spa up klong maung beach.

I'm in Krabi (with my wife & daughter) for a veru short visit from 21st thru 23rd & honestly, we're most worried about the weather. But now since plans are frozen, let's hope for the best :-)

Did you mention that a dedicated speed boat would cost around ~ THB 12 K ? isn't that too much ?

ya, speed boat cost 12000 baht, actually big enuf to take 12pax. if you hv more ppl to share would be quite reasonable for all the convenience. we can dictate all our movement & timing... n go wherever we fancy anytime.

you can go with the big ferry but they run on fixed timing & route.

so 2000baht for each of us is worthwhile for us... all your call
