I would like to know a rental company from witch I rent a car at Sacramento airport and let it down at south lake tahoe. And then for return take the car at south lake and let it down at sacramento.
I need a car large enough for six persons with skis and baggages.

any of the SAC rental agencies will be able to provide you with a car but if I'm understanding your post you want only to drive to Tahoe (2 hours) then get rid of the car, then get a car again for the return trip. If that's the case, most will allow you to do so but will charge you for the "privilage."

hertz, Dollar, Avis, etc... all have offices in SAC and in Tahoe.

It actually might be cheaper to just get the car for the duration of the stay. you might want to use it to get around the town during your stay.

Al is very correct in this option. A weekly rental rate can be much lower than 2 drop charges.
If you will be in Tahoe for a longer duration Enterprise, Hertz, Dollar and Avis are the only companies that now have offices in the Tahoe area.

All major companies rent from SMF. Cars are cheap, but for one large enough for six plus skis and during ski season (4WD) it will cost you much more. Sounds like you will need a van for sure.

It might even be cheaper to rent two cars and get chains just in case you need them. The company will rent them to you and you will need them if you get stopped by the highway patrol even if it isn't snowing.

SLT is pretty spread out depending on when, where, and how long you are staying it may or may not be cost effective to do a one way rental.

Do some shopping on the internet and see what you come up with. Enterprise usually has the best rates on one way rentals.
