does anybody know how much it will be from kalamata airport to nafplio, in a taxi, or if there is a cheaper way,like bus or train, we had a car hire booked but have just found out we need a credit card, but we don't have one, any help would be great, we leave this sunday.

Take a train from Kalamata (prefecture of Mesinia) to Argos (prefecture of Argolida). Then, from Argos to Nafplio is only 13km, you can take taxi.
Check the site of OSE, that is the Greek Railway Organisation: http://www.ose.gr (select EN for English). Although, it is not high season any more, you can find easily a car for rent when you arrive, if you can pay cash.
