Hi - I am trying to pick a hotel for our stay in Lima. Can anyone tell me the best areas to stay and why? Thanks.

Miraflores. It is safe and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants.

Agree. The best (and safest) area. My opinion.
I always prefer the Hotel Del Pilar. Others I thought were OK: Posada del Inca Miraflores, Best Western Embajadores. All within walking distance of Parque Kennedy. Hotel San Antonio Abad, but a little further away from the Parque.

Also agree. San Isidro is also a desirable area.

Miraflores is the best area, if you can near to Larcomar,a lot of stores, restaurants and shoppings, is very quiet, also san isidro but is more business area, like swiss hotel.
