I have to organise a trip to Apeldoorn from the UK and I need some help.

What is the nearest airport?
Can anyone recommend a hotel preferably 3* or above?
Does anyone know what the transfer time is between the nearest airport and Apeldoorn by car and by train?

The nearest airport will be 'Schiphol'.
There is a train connection from Schiphol (platforms just beneath the arrival hall) to Apeldoorn. This train ride takes about 75 minutes.
There are other airports (Eindhoven and Weeze in Germany) used by low cost carriers, but it is not as easy to reach Apeldoorn by train.

I'm not sure where you are looking for, but the best (and most expensive) hotels in Apeldoorn are:
De Keizerskroon
Best Western Het Loo
Hampshire Hotel Apeldoorn
Hotel et Café de Paris (in the city centre)
Hotel Abbekerk, smaller and with more atmosphere

We are trying to do a day trip so the Amsterdam option is better for us but thanks I had a look at Eindhoven as well but flight timings not right.
