| Panglao Island | Dumaluan or Alona? Posted: Tue September 25, 2007 07:03 AM UTC
Hi Everyone!
This forum is very helpful. Some of my questions were already answered just by reading the posts. I have some more though. Hope to hear from everyone as it will be my first time in Bohol this November. We're still choosing where to stay, resort in Alona or Dumaluan? Please give your feedback about these two beaches. If we stay at Bohol Beach Club, how do we get to Alona Beach? What's the cheapest mode of transpo and how far it is from Bohol Beach Club? Thanks in advance! :) |

1. Alona or Dumaluan? Divers stay at Alona. Beach combers go to Dumaluan. Alona's beach is shorter and narrower than Dumaluan. What's more, the latter resembles Boracay a bit. However, my personal choice is Alona because of its more relaxed atmosphere.
2. Its always easy to get around the tourist area of Panglao, particularly to-and-fro Alona & Dumaluan. Alona isn't far from Dumaluan and vice versa. If you would stay at Bohol Beach Club, which is along Dumaluan beach, you can go to Alona by trike or habal-habal. Trike charges P70-80 per trip (not per person). Habal charges P20 per person.

Thanks Nimato!
That answered my question. =) Perhaps we'll stick with our plan to stay somewhere in Dimaluan. Are the trikes or habal-habal operate 24/7?

Also, for tours you may contact mang rudy 09287688053. This guy is a certified diver and has a van. He's very nice and knows the places well.
